Boys repurposed hats

I love to repurpose. So when I saw that Cheri at I am Momma-Hear Me Roar had made these upcycled hats AND generously left a tutorial, I knew I had to make some for my boys.
I had a t-shirt that I begged my hubby to part with (it was awful!), and Owen just outgrew a striped polo shirt that I used as well.

For my middle schooler, I made sure I used as much of the Abercrombie and Fitch logos as possible. You know at that age, it's all about the brand!

Oh, you did an awesome job on these. My 6th grader is all into those name brands too. You wouldn't believe the AF, Hollister and Aeropostle shirts we find at Good Will. Thankfully, she realizes how much more she can buy there than at the mall and knows that nobody can tell where she got them.

Rachel - You rocked the t-shirt hats! I love them. I love how you used the existing words on them, too. Excellent work and thank you SO much for sharing. I'll link this up for the next "You Roared" segment. Way to go!

I saw this on I am Momma- Hear Me Roar too. Filed it away in my crafty to-do list. I love how yours turned out too!

Wow how fun, I bet the material is nice and soft and I like the design of the original shirt it translates into a cool hat! Thank you for joining us at A Crafty Soiree! I hope to see you next week too!

Talk about a cool, one of a kind hat! Awesome! I am impressed! I don't think I could do this one but you never know right? So I guess I need to start finding just the right t-shirt in my son's closet that needs to go...hmmmmm

Found you from Amanda's party!
