Yes, lines can be long everywhere, but I expect that. Especially since Covid turned the world upside down. I don’t mind taking a number. It is better than trying to get a fair turn of first come first served when there is a crowd of women and around the long counter. I find that most employees at my local store are nice, even when short staffed. I am not so self important that I expect to be treated like a queen every where I go. I haven’t forgotten what it is like to work in retail and grocery businesses even though I have been a professional for 30 years. The out of stock issue is terrible, and although I can understand to a degree, please hire someone to update your website. It is the same problem with the pick up in store. I find it sort of silly and frustrating they have the "25% off pickup order." Why not just give me my 25% in store? Have you ever gone to the store, got on your phone and ordered everything on your phone to wait for them to shop for you so you can "pick it up" and get the discount? I haven't, but I always feel like I should. Or put it all in my cart, show them my order online and say, "Hey, I did it all for you!" Ha! Seriously though. Recently I did a pickup order and they cancelled EVERY item saying it was out of stock, even though the website still said there were XX many there. But I do understand how quickly stock can change. So I decided since the coupon worked for shipping an order to just do that. They again cancelled EVERY item, even though a couple said there were over 400 available for shipping. I'm just frustrated. But it is hard to pass up their 30% off and then an extra 25% sale items. But, alas, I am feeling I may have to join your breakup. Thanks for the post. We know it's because they don't have enough employees, therefore the few there get overstretched between tasks and just want to be able to get their requirements done, but also answer customer questions. It's tough, I've worked there at holiday time one year. But as far as coupons go, I'm a girl who likes to get a bargain, too, but really, no store really owes us any discount. They use them to entice people to buy, but they can't afford to give away everything at half price. They obviously don't have enough money to hire more employees as it is. But to empathize, Joann prices are often nearly double what you'd find at other retailers, aside from Michaels. Not sure why. I find that odd.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4110077978481953569.post-1861865921692338842022-09-14T08:37:01.348-07:002022-09-14T08:37:01.348-07:00Omg! The items are purposely priced higher,so profit margins remain as projected, during these "sales". There is no need to reprimand someone who has a legitimate complaint. The line was insane for the cutting counter and I was buying 5/8 yard of 18 different fabrics:) I had to pee something fierce...now I heard them using the loud speaker to call numbers and mind you mine was 11 away so I decided to make a mad dash for the bathroom. In and out as quickly as possible. I get back to the counter only to find they were 3 past my number and didn'tcall any of the previous 114 over the intercom...I walked out leaving my fabric disgusted. Of misleading advertising / pricing (I've also had several occasions where neither the employee nor I are aware that an item is not eligible for a coupon until it's rung up, including fabric after it was cut). Their prices are not great. Yes, the books area is nice, but other than that I've resolved to brave long lives at AC Moore and Michaels for everything non-fabric, and online for fabric. Wal-Mart has been up and down with crafts, but has recently improved. No staff to 'help', but at least I can get some grocery shopping done at the same time!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07030964170526689159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4110077978481953569.post-19756034674463045902017-09-18T06:48:22.770-07:002017-09-18T06:48:22.770-07:00I AGREE!!
