All of the phone lines were busy but she was able to text and my friend was so relieved. I don't like that many interruptions!! ;)Michelle@ourwonderfilledlife.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06427838151333552702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4110077978481953569.post-3978903363726535832011-12-18T09:37:09.553-08:002011-12-18T09:37:09.553-08:00When my husband and I started dating I was the one...When my husband and I started dating I was the one with the iphone (it took me FOREVER to convince myself i wanted one) and he had a small very cheap nokia phone and he could careless about it.When I decided I wanted to try a Blackberry (I change my mind very quickly) I gave him my old iphone and he's never looked back. LOL. A few months later i asked him if he would trade me back and he went out and bought me my own iphone (at the time the newest model was the white 16g). He just couldn't part with his. Moral of the story is, smart phones are sooooo convenient to have. Like someone said, you can get your coupons off your phone, you can text, play games, even ipod. :)

I'd jump on the bandwagon! haha :) Good luck with your decision! :)Almahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08856367405066259621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4110077978481953569.post-29950202975887287952011-12-15T09:57:44.899-08:002011-12-15T09:57:44.899-08:00I don't text either. Neither one of us are avid cell phone users so we avoid it adn the extra costs. So at least you know you're not alone! :)Kyra @ RACKS and Moobyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04529254791151928844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4110077978481953569.post-10929215682762958392011-12-15T08:17:45.585-08:002011-12-15T08:17:45.585-08:00I totally understand where you're coming from ...I totally understand where you're coming from and never thought I'd text as much as I have. We got our son a phone in middle school but primarily for MY convenience ( one too many trips to pick him up only to be met with "Can I stay for XYZ or ABC ran late and can you come back in 20 min" ) The office was super strict about only allowing students to use the phone for emergencies and there were no pay phones. So it began there.

Then once he was in HS and more independent it became a way for him to let us know these same things and more like when he started driving, that he'd gotten safely to his destination. He knew the rules about no texting or talking on the phone while driving and what the consequences would be.

Now that he's a freshman in college, it's our lifeline. It's how we keep in touch day to day just to check in, hi, how are you etc.

And then,um there are those Michaels coupons that they text me !!Carol, The Answer Is Chocolatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06013333128752587195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4110077978481953569.post-34145270159211873452011-12-15T06:11:17.656-08:002011-12-15T06:11:17.656-08:00I thought I would never text. Thanks for making me feel old...when I was a teenager, if there was an emergency you had to use a payphone. And, when your parents answered they were using a phone that was attached to the wall (no cordless)! YIKES!!!Artsy VaVahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16075194421151081891noreply@blogger.com
