1-2 for your number 2

This post brought to you by Cottonelle. All opinions are 100% mine.

Our family of five has some crazy dinner conversations.

Last night our dinner conversation was all about how many flushable wipes you need to wipe with and how you fold them to make the most effective use of your said wipe.  Did I mention that we were actually out to dinner last night?  Don't you wish you were sitting at the table next to us?!

Last week, Cottonelle sent me a package with their Clean Care toilet paper and a box of flushable wipes.

My kids were more excited about that box than they were about their favorite dinner!

You see, when my kids were potty training, I used to buy flushable wipes for them as a way of  "teaching" them how to help wipe up.  I didn't want to be a mom of an elementary school age kid who would scream at me "can you wipe me?"  I know you know a few.

Once they got the hang of their bathroom routine, I stopped buying flushable wipes.

I had no idea that they would be so excited when something as simple as a flushable wipe made it's appearance in our house again!  All three kids wanted to be the first to use them!

Which takes me back to our dinner conversation.

One child accused the other child of using too many flushable wipes during their bathroom routine.

The kids were afraid of running out of "heaven in a box" as my daughter calls it.  One child proceeded to tell us all about how many wipes he uses (general consensus is that you only need one) and how he folds the wipe to get the most bang for his buck.  Apparently, when you describe your folding process, it also requires you to proceed to act out the process in the middle of the restaurant sharing with all how you fold and wipe with Cottonelle flushable wipes!

The kids have all decided that the flushable wipes stay as part of their bathroom routine, and quite honestly, I can't complain.  Especially after watching this (hilarious!) video.

"If you aren't happy here, think about your own bumper."

Now through June 30th you can visit Cottonelle to watch more of the hilarious Cottonelle wash test videos (I mean seriously, can you think of cleaning anything without water?)  and submit your entry for a chance to win one of four $10,000 grand prize bathroom makeovers!

Are you happy with your bathroom?

What would you do to make it over?

Green Giant Veggie snack chips...my new favorite treat!

Our family of five definitely has some surprise talents.
My youngest son can blow air through his eyeball {which sort of makes me cringe even as I write this}.
My husband can do freakishly fast {and accurate} math in his head.
My daughter spends more time on her hands than she does on her feet.
I can say my phone number with my eyes closed.
And speaking of eyes closed...
My oldest son can drum with his eyes closed.
It's pretty impressive that he can move around the whole kit and not miss a beat.
Check it out for yourself.

One thing that is not a secret is that our family loves the new Green Giant veggie snack chips.

We all know {and love} Green Giant for their canned vegetables, but now the secret is out.
They make amazing snack chips that you can feel good about feeding to your family!

I don't know about you, but my kids always come home from school ravenous.
I popped open a bag of the new Green Giant Sweet Potato chips and the Roasted Veggie Tortilla chips for an after school snack today.

The smile on her face should say it all!
She didn't even take her coat off before she dug right in!

And guess what?
I didn't even feel bad about serving my kids chips for an afternoon snack.
Know why?

Because the Green Giant Roasted Veggie Tortilla chips are made with real vegetables, have 17 grams of whole grain per serving and are naturally flavored.
The Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips are made with real sweet potatoes and have 14 grams of whole grain.  Plus, they contain 40% less fat than regular potato chips.

I showed you my son's hidden talent, now check out the surprise talents that Green Giant has unearthed.

"I am a large man who is very flexible.  So I can do the splits like a gymnast."
Does he not remind you of Chris Farley a little?!
Love that he tried to lean on his elbow and just.didn't.make.it.
Hilarious!

Day 6: Kids Can Design custom pendant + Creative Memories Fast to Fabulous album

Welcome back!

Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready to jump back in and continue our 7 days of giveaways for my 3rd blogiversary giveaway party!

I was contacted several months ago by Kidz Can Design.  A new company that allows you to send in your child's artwork and in return, sends you back a custom designed pendant made from that drawing.

My kids are all getting older, but I had the best time going through the old artwork boxes that I keep from each of my three kids.  When you have pre-schoolers, you think the art will never end, but trust me, it does! And can I tell you something?  I kind of miss it.  So if your child is 2 or 42, you can still send in your work and create a lasting memento of a special drawing that your child has made.

Also, my long time reader and church friend Terri Campbell, is a creative memories consultant.
She is kind enough to be offering this brand spankin' new 8x8 fast to fabulous scrapbook album to one of my readers.  I gave up scrapbooking years ago because it took so much time, but this album looks like it would be something I could complete quickly and still make it look fabulous!  And if you have been reading holy craft for any length of time, you will know that fast, easy and awesome are my favorite things!

Vintage Valentines in a heart cookie cutter

Happy Valentine's Day my sweets!

Today, I want to share with you one of the final Valentine's day crafts that I made this year.
These fun vintage Valentine's!

I found some adorable vintage Valentine's from Tipnut that I resized and printed them off.
I bought these two vintage heart cookie cutters a few weeks ago at a super fun "junk" show called Second Saturdayz for $1 each.

I cut the Valentine's down to size and made sure they fit into the cookie cutter.

I thought they needed some faux moss {from the dollar store}, so I put glue inside the cookie cutter and smooshed the moss inside.

Then I put glue on the back of the Valentine's and smooshed those inside on top of the moss.
Everything is better with a little glitter, so I sprinkled some glitter on top of the Valentine's.

I have them in my den on my fireplace next to my favorite candy, red hots!

And my second favorite candy, conversation hearts {but only the white ones}.

I just love vintage Valentine's.
How are you celebrating tonight?

Teacher Valentines with a Perk!

I saw this printable Valentine on Skip to My Lou last week.
Kori from Paper and Pigtails offers this adorable printable for you too!

Starbucks has some cute heart Valentine's gift cards that I stuck on with heart washi tape, then tied on some bakers twine.  I think the kids teachers are going to love them!

Dollar store silver plate chalkboard

Dollar store silver plate chalkboard

I'm sure this isn't the first time you have seen someone take a Dollar Store "silver" plate from drab to fab.

I recently overheard a woman complaining about how she attempted painting a plate with chalkboard paint and failing.  She sort of double-dog dared me, so I took the challenge.

The Dollar Store has these "silver" plates and this plate stands.
I had chalkboard paint on hand, so the total for this project was $2.

Start by taping off the edges of the plate.

Paint your chalkboard paint on in a thin layer.
The secret to making this work is to be patient!
This will take several coats of chalkboard paint and you have to let each coat dry.

Once your paint is dry and you have a thick coat of chalkboard paint {around 3 layers}, take off the tape and voila!

A beautiful upcycled dollar store chalkboard for all your mushy messages!

What else have you put chalkboard paint on?
