Born to Ride

I love the ideas that Cheri at I am Momma hear me Roar has. I saw this shirt and knew I had to make one for my littlest guy. There is nothing he loves more than riding his bike. He learned how to ride without training wheels when he was only 3 and now at 4 he zips around like a pro! Cheri has great instructions for how to make the shirt and I will definitely be trying out the techniques again.

I started out with this shirt that I got at a garage sale for 50 cents.

Then I took the bleach pen and made the lines around. Super easy!

I had a huge box of freezer paper I got at a garage sale for (you guessed it!) 50 cents, and making the stencil was easier than I thought! I found the font and a clip art bike that I liked and set to work cutting it out while the bleach pen sat and did it's work.

I then took the tulip paint and painted in the stencil. It took a LOT of coats, but I probably did too many because it was hard to peel off at the end.

Here it is before the embellishments.

And after! I love how it tuned out!
