Celebrating the girls at the Taylor Swift concert

Back in April my sister in law gave my nine year old daughter 3 Taylor Swift concert tickets. One for me, one for her and one for her to invite a friend along. The concert was five LONG months away and happened to fall on my birthday. On a beautiful September night, the girls were finally able to put on their cowboy boots and celebrate!

Always the sensible one, Isabella refrained from putting her boots on until we got parked. But me, nah...I had been working on my "woohoo" all day and was ready to get this party started!

The girls were able to walk the red carpet and dress up before finding out seats inside

After two opening acts and an hour and a half wait, Taylor Swift finally took the stage.

I must say, I even teared up a little as I saw the look of pure joy and excitement on my daughters face as one of her favorite artists started singing some of her favorite songs.

Taylor Swift put on an amazing concert. I could hardly believe how quickly she was able to change her clothes and re do her hair and take the stage for the next set. I was amazed at how Taylor truly seemed honored and humbled that people would show up to see her perform.

Taylor Swift has been in the limelight for some time now, and I must say that even though I brace myself for the possibility of the immanent Hollywood scandal, I am thrilled that at this time, she seems to be beating the odds and rising above and remains someone that I am thankful that my daughter is able to look up to.

As the night wore on, Taylor put on an amazing Broadway like performance where mother and daughter were able to sing along to song after song. What an awesome first concert experience for my sweet girl. Thanks Auntie Esther!
