DIY Christmas Holiday Letterboard Sign

I love a good DIY. I craft and create all year long, but especially around each holiday and even more so at Christmas. I'm sharing this DIY Christmas Letterboard sign now so you'll have plenty of time to whip one up for your holiday decorating or gifting. Letterboards are such a fun way to decorate with words {and I obviously love words!}. You can change the phrases and sayings often or leave it with the same phrase all holiday long. This letterboard is a fun holiday decoration, but you can change out the phase and use it year-round. Flexible decor is my favorite! Letterboards actually make the perfect gift. Even if someone has one, they can always use another!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Start by painting your wood pieces

If you need to cut down your wood pieces, you can use a utility knife since the pieces aren't too thick {no power tools needed, though you could use a table saw or hand saw if you really wanted!}.

Pro tip:
Cut your pieces before you paint them

The wood measurements you'll need are:

For the base:
3/32 x 3/8 x 36"

For the face:
5/32 x 5/32 x 24"

Allow your paint to set and dry

Warm up your hot glue gun

Glue the following together:
Place the first base piece of wood flat on a surface
Grab the face and glue it to the base

This is used to support the wood letter tiles and prevent them from sliding or falling off

Next, use your hot glue to attach the completed face and base to the painted surface

That's it!
