easy mopping

Our whole downstairs is mostly hardwood floors. I love them! They are so easy to take care of.
I just take this old Swiffer that I picked up in the free box at a garage sale
grab one of my old washcloths, and poke all four corners into the little swiffer holes
and have at it! I usually use a wet rag for mopping and sometimes throw some vinegar into some warm water. When you are done mopping, just throw the dirty rag in the washing machine and that's it!

I've never thought to do that either. I know there are knitting patterns out there where you can make really funky ones. I've been meaning to try those, but I'll use your idea until I can get around to knitting. Thanks for sharing!

How come I never thought of that??! The swiffer cloths aren't super cheap and a damp washcloth would probably clean better. Thanks for sharing! :)

I do the same thing! Those swiffer cloths are expensive!

Love the practicality!

I love the microfiber wash cloths too, they seem to grab dirt a little better and use hardly any water to do it.

What a fantastic idea :) Now if only I had lots of hardwood floors.

Hi, I'm stopping by from Show off your Stuff. I have a tutorail on my blog for a swiffer wet pad out of washcloths if you ever use those. I also have a $45 CSN giveaway going on. Please stop by!

Great idea! I JUST bought a new box of swiffer pads and I hated doing it because they're such a waste of money. I'm doing this from now on!
