Disneyland Souvineers-Space mountain shirt with the silhouette machine

There aren't too many days left in our countdown calendar for our trip to Disneyland.

I've been busy making some personal touches for our trip.

We have our Minnie Mouse ears ready to be packed

And when I saw this shirt that Jill at Handmade by Jill made for her son, I knew I had to make one for my little guy.

If you ask Owen what ride he's most looking forward to, he will almost always say Space Mountain.
I used my silhouette machine, a retro Disneyland poster image, a grey shirt from the dollar store, and some heat transfer material to make this shirt pretty spectacular.

He was pretty excited about his new shirt.

So, what's your favorite ride?
Any tips or tricks for making the most of our trip to Disneyland?

OH, this is SO COOL!!!! I am totally blown away. Love the retro image. I want one for me! :)
Um, tips for Disneyland: check out MouseSavers.com. They have tons of tips, esp. for kids. If you're into getting as many rides done as possible, you might like RideMax, a piece of software that plans a route to minimize waiting in line. Good eats to be had at Bengal Barbeque in Adventureland. Don't forget sunscreen! And - have a fabulous, amazing time! :)

The Village Haus Restaurant in Fantasy Land as well as Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante by Thunder Mt. Railroad offer Gluten free menu options-you can request a special menu inside. We have extended family that love the gluten free hamburger buns at the Village Haus. Have fun!!

This is so awesome and given the prices of shirts at the park....

Space Mountain is tied for our favorite ride w/ Indiana Jones.

love the vintage look of both of these! Last time we were there, I was terrified of space mountain though! :) It would be fun to do one with the space needle vintage picture (since I live in Seattle) hmmm....

It's a tie between Pirates of the Carribean and the Haunted Mansion -- but I haven't been on either in man years, so I'm in love with their older incarnations.

Both shirts are amazing! I have a few tips, my family ( me , hubby, 2 & 4 year old) go quite often. Make sure to be on the side of the park you want to be on when the parades start. If you have an kids under the height requirement and an adult has to stay back while the rest of the family rides ask for a rider swap pass from one of the workers at the entrance to the ride. It will allow the person who waited to ride again without having to wait in line again. If you use these in combination with the fast passes you can save a lot of time. Make sure the whole family is in comfy shoes, and bring your own water! Have a great time!

That is an awesome shirt! Can I get the stencil from you? Or can you explain how you did it? I have a Silhouette, but apparently I don't know all it can do because I had no idea I could upload a picture to it! Please share how you did this. Thanks!

I know you made this years ago, but would you mind sharing what program you used to convert the poster image into the silhouette/stencil style image? Thanks!

I used my Silhouette machine. There is a trace feature in the program. You can search some of my past tutorials (in the search bar) for a tutorial on how to use the Silhouette trace feature.
