I haven't met too many people who didn't love popcorn. I know I'm a fan. It's a great crowd pleasing snack that's easy to serve to guests. Which is why a popcorn bar is a simple way to entertain on a budget and still offer a variety of fun snacks and flavors. The best part is that it is the perfect finger food! Even the most basic set up can look like you are the Pinterest queen of parties when you pull it all together! I'm excited to show you how I put together this DIY popcorn bar. You're going to want to take notes for your next event.

It doesn't take much to set up a DIY popcorn bar. In fact, you probably have everything you need in a closet or drawer. I used a few various serving bowls, jars and buckets to easily put the popcorn in. It not only looks great served up, it's also easier to see what you are serving and it gives you an idea as a host when you need to refill.

I discovered G.H. Cretors popcorn a few years ago and have been obsessed with it ever since. I got hooked on The Mix popcorn and now it's my go to snack that I bring to any party. People love the mix of caramel and cheddar and it always gets people talking.

G.H. Cretors popcorn is 100% gluten free and doesn't have any GMO's, so it's a treat everyone can enjoy!

I've since discovered some new flavors and I'm dying over the Organic line, especially the Organic Chili Jalapeno White Cheddar. I was a little nervous to try the Organic Dill Pickle, but I'm telling you, it's a good one! Especially if you paired it with a yummy sandwich or two. Hello! That's a football tailgating party idea if I ever heard one!

Make a Sign

I totally cheated on this popcorn bar sign and want to teach you how you can cheat too. We all love a good chalkboard art sign don't we? But not all of us are artists with mad hand-lettering skills.

Would you believe me if I told you that this wasn't chalk at all?

I used a black foam board {it's 20x30 to fit over the family picture that normally hangs there!} that cost just a few bucks and cut white vinyl out on my Silhouette Cameo. It took 5 minutes!

Serve it up!

I used some fancy paper rolled into a cone and scooped up everyone's favorite, the Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It makes it easy for your guests to grab and go if they see some popcorn already served up.

Small treat cups bought at your local party store can be used too. There are so many options out there! Or you can use a paper or plastic cup.

Make sure you set out serving ware and scoops so that your guests can easily serve up their popcorn without having to grab it with their bare hands.

Refill often

I don't know about you, but when I'm entertaining, the last thing I want to be doing is cooking in the kitchen. Another benefit of having a popcorn bar with already popped corn is that you can easily refill your empty containers in seconds, no time spent away from guests waiting for kernels to pop.

Speaking of kernels, I've found every bag of G.H. Cretors to be perfectly popped every time. It's because this handcrafted popcorn is popped in small batches with real, high quality ingredients.

Pack it up

At the end of your party, if you have any popcorn left {doubtful but just in case!}, use a paper bag to send home extra popcorn with guests.
