Homemade Tequila Lime Body Scrub

I know I fought them when I was a child, but now I'm totally loving a good bath. I love to soak in the tub and use all my fancy bath products including this tequila lime body scrub. Not only does it leave my skin nice and smooth, it also leaves me smelling fresh. A good scrub can take off all those dead skin cells and rough patchy skin brought on by winter.  Body scrubs make a great gift to give to friends and family and it's a little out of the ordinary from the traditional flowers or coffee card. I've got this easy tutorial so that you can make your own for yourself or for a friend.

·         ½ C. Salt
·         ½ C. Coconut Oil
·         1 teaspoon tequila
·         1 teaspoon Lime Juice
·         1 tablespoon Margarita sour mix
·         5-10 drops Lime Essential Oil
·         Zest of 1 Lime
·         2-4 drops green food coloring

Place the coconut oil in microwave until melted. In a large bowl, add salt and then the coconut oil.

Stir until mixture is well blended and fluffy. Store in an air-tight glass jar in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Add a lid, a label and a little ribbon and it's ready for you to enjoy or to share with a friend.

Why does it need to be stored in the refrigerator?

The refrigerator helps it stay cool and refreshing though it isn't a requirement.
