Gifts Teens and Young Adults Really Want!

As the holiday season starts to quickly approach, maybe you are starting to break out in a cold sweat because you aren't quite sure what to get the teens and young adults in your life. They are notoriously hard to shop for with their ever-evolving tastes and preferences. Trends change at a lightning-face pace and something on their wish list last year that was a hot item you couldn't get your hands on, has likely fallen out of fashion! I know I've been shopping with my teens before and something I thought they'd like they turn their nose up at. I honestly feel so out of touch. Teens are humbling like that. But fear not, I'm going to dive into some fantastic gift ideas to help ensure that you choose presents that will bring joy and delight this holiday season. I've got you covered with a wide range of gifts that will help you be a hero with those teens and young adults in your life!

Stocking Stuffers for Older Teens and Young Adults

The first thing that gets opened up on Christmas morning at our house is stockings. All winter long, as soon as the decorations get put up, the stocking are hung on the mantle. On Christmas morning, the stockings, bursting with a combination of wrapped and unwrapped items are on the floor in front of the roaring fireplace. As the kids get older, the task of stuffing stockings can feel like a daunting task. When they were little it was easy to put candy and small toys inside, but as they've gotten bigger, it can seem more challenging. I've put together a list of 100+ items! This list isn't exhaustive but should get you thinking out of the box a bit.  I've linked our favorites when I could, so make sure you check the underlined items and add those to your cart for easy shopping!

Giving Tuesday: Give an Impactful Gift

Every year, in an effort to get exactly what you want, a Christmas list is requested from our family members. This isn't a generic list where you document a general idea of what you want {candles, a fuzzy blanket, or a new coat}, but instead, specific website links are generated and sent via email to gift-givers who are anxious to please. I've gotten really comfortable in this method of gifting because it's so much easier for the gift giver to knock one out of the park and give the perfect gift because it's exactly what the recipient asked for. What if someone was asking for the most practical gift year after year but they weren't receiving it? Today is Giving Tuesday and I want to share how you can give the most practical impactful gifts that will help vulnerable kids and families in the ways they need it the most!

The Cricut Holiday Gift Everyone Wants Under the Tree!

I got a cutting machine as a Christmas gift ten years ago! As an adult, there aren't many gifts that I hope for, but a cutting machine was one of those I hoped to find under the tree. It literally changed my crafting game. I learned how to vinyl all the things, to make custom invitations for birthdays, designed shirts and clothing for basically any event, and cut out everything from paper for science fair posters to leaves I used to create DIY wreaths.

I couldn't imagine not having a cutting machine. It's like a workshop not having a hammer or a screwdriver. And honestly, you don't even have to consider yourself crafty to use a cutting machine. The biggest game-changer for me this year though has been getting a Cricut Joy. If you have ever thought getting a cutting machine would be a good idea, or even if you have a larger traditional machine like the Cricut Maker, the Cricut Explore, or even the Silhouette Cameo, I'm going to lay it all out there so you can clearly see why the Cricut Joy is the holiday gift everyone {should} wants under the tree.

15 Gift Ideas for Husbands that Buy all of their Own Stuff Anyway

Who else is ready to get their holiday shopping done and over with? This is the part of the holidays that a lot of us don't necessarily love. Battling crowds, spending money and stressing about buying just the right gifts is not always fun and games.

Do you have a particular person that you are always stressed out shopping for? I know I do. You know what I am talking about. The one that buys all of their own stuff anyway without thought to the fact that they should maybe wait until the holidays are over? Yes, I am talking about husbands. I mean, I can't be the only one that has dealt with this, right? It's fine, of course, they are adults, they are able to buy what they want, but my goodness does it make shopping difficult!

6 Gifts that Keep on Giving

I don't think of myself as being hard to buy for. I like a lot of things and I'm not that hard to please. Probably my favorite gifts are those that make me know that someone was thinking about me. That could mean that they saw me in my wacky socks and knew I was a fan of bold prints, or they found something they loved themselves and thought that I might like it too. I put together this collection of six gifts that keep on giving because I wanted to share a few of my absolute favorite gifts. Each of these is gifts I could think of at least one or more people in my life would love just as much as I do. Many of the gifts either give back to a great cause or are subscriptions that will keep on giving all year long. Come check out the six gifts that keep on giving. I think you will love them as much as I do.

Salted Caramel Popcorn Gift with Free Printable Gift Tags

This post is written by me in partnership with G.H. Cretors. All opinions are 100% my own.

Every year I have to remind myself to get a jump start on the holiday season. Not this year! I had my Christmas cards ordered by October and I have most of my Christmas shopping done. I'd really like to do my best to not feel so rushed and busy and overwhelmed during the holidays, but instead enjoy that time with family and friends. Planning ahead is how I'm going to try to do that. That even means not waiting until the first neighbor rings my doorbell holding a gift.

In years past I sheepishly took the gift from their hands knowing I hadn't even thought about the kid upstairs, not to mention the guy next door. I'm doing you all a solid and giving you a leg up on this holiday season and offering up a fun and easy gift idea with a printable that will not only be a welcomed holiday gift, but will have your neighbors asking for seconds and looking forward to this becoming a new tradition.

Valentine's Day Gifts for Guys

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and every year I struggle with what to get my husband. He's pretty much the hardest person to buy for ever. And since Valentine's Day is nipping at the heels of Christmas, I feel like any idea I had was exhausted back in December. I started making a list of things I saw that would make great gifts for guys and put them together for you just in case I'm not the only one that struggles with ideas.

20 White Elephant Gifts You Will Want to Keep

I love a good white elephant gift exchange. It seems like every holiday season we get invited or go to at least one of these themed type parties. If you have never participated in a white elephant exchange, let me explain what one is. There aren't really any hard and fast rules to the exchange but there is usually a price limit that is set {typically under $20}. The organizer sometimes sets up special instructions, such as bring a gift that is funny or impractical. Most times the only rule is that the gift must be interesting. There are often other house rules to follow on the acquisition of the gift but they almost always start with the gifts being generically wrapped and placed in a pile in the center of your group. Every game is different with gifts being opened and stolen in an attempt to acquire the best white elephant gift that has been brought to the exchange.  I scrolled for hours looking for 20 white elephant gifts I thought would be fun for you to bring to your next white elephant gift exchange. Come see what I came up with. You are going to want to end up with your own gift at the end of the evening!

Christmas Gift Guides for Creatives

It's no secret that I love to create. I've been crafting and creating for as long as I can remember and I love trying out new techniques and using new supplies and digging into kits to learn new skills. I thought I would put my thinking cap on and put together a Christmas gift guide that you can use when you are buying for those creative people in your life. This guide will at least get you started so you can get pointed in the right direction. You will find gifts in all price ranges {however most are under $20} for all ages and skill levels.

Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide

The first gifts that get opened in our house come from our stocking. The stockings are always hung on the mantle, but on Christmas morning, they are always spread out carefully by the fireplace on the floor usually stuffed full. I've put together a little buying guide for all of those people on your list so that you can stuff their stockings to the brim with gifts they are excited about.
