30 Minute Meal: Sweet BBQ Meatball Bowl

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cooked Perfect® Meatballs for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's always been important for our family to eat meals together. From the time our oldest was born, we put him in his bouncy seat next to the dinner table so he could join us for meals and we continue to make family dinner time a priority. Since eating meals together is a priority, I have also had to be creative to make it happen. I rarely make meals that require more than five ingredients and take longer than a half an hour to make. I just don't have time to fuss over meals and need something simple that can be prepped and on the table so we can move on to those things that keep us busy on weeknights like homework and practices. I know you are busy too and maybe you are getting bored with the same weeknight meals. I've got a yummy meal that will only take you 30 minutes from start to finish. Come get the recipe for this sweet BBQ meatball bowl your whole family is going to love.

Sweet BBQ Meatball Bowl

You will need:

Making your own meatballs from scratch is awesome and all...if you have time. But I'm a busy mom, time is the last thing I have! I'm always of the mindset that if you can buy it and it's just as good {if not better!} and it saves you time, why not get it? Cooked Perfect Frozen Meatballs are crafted using select meats, real cheeses and aromatic herbs and spices and then they are flame-broiled to sear in the flavor. I mean come on! This is definitely not the attention to detail I have when cooking on a busy school night. I need all the help I can get.

You can find the Cooked Perfect Frozen Meatballs in the freezer section of your local grocery. I picked up the Homestyle Meatballs but you could select the Italian Style or the Turkey depending on what kind of mood you are in. You can even pick up Cooked Perfect Gluten Free Italian Style Meatballs too!

Start by mixing together your cranberries and BBQ sauce. Make sure they are mixed together well and then add your meatballs. Stir them into the sauce, put the lid on and cook for 20-25 minutes over medium heat.

The meatballs are pre-cooked, so really all you need to do is just warm them up and mix in those flavors.

I serve the sweet BBQ meatballs over rice and sprinkled chopped green onions on top. I served it with some zucchini from the garden.

The meal was a hit with our family and I think that it will be with your family too.  It took under 30 minutes and as the meal was cooking, I had time to throw together a salad and work on homework with the kids sitting nearby at the table.

Another great weeknight family meal! Browse more meatball recipes

This looks so good. Cranberry sauce? You blew my mind with this. I like the idea so much better than grape jelly (although that always tastes great). I have to make these.

I'm loving that you used cranberry sauce! I feel like it's so underused unless it's the holidays but it's so good! This would be great on a hoagie roll too!
